Changing the battery

To change the battery in the IR remote control,
f unlatch the battery compartment G by
pressing the release lever on the battery
compartment.
f Remove the battery compartment from
the housing.
f Remove the old battery and insert the new
battery (CR2025, 3 V) in such a way that
its positive pole faces towards the rear of
the housing when the battery compart-
ment G is pushed in.
f Push the battery compartment back into
the housing.
Note:
Do not dispose of used batteries in
the household trash, but hand them
in at a suitable collection point.

Subwoofer output

You can connect a subwoofer to the device. To
do this, the subwoofer must be connected to
the rear side of the device (compartment C1,
pins 4-6). The level of the subwoofer can be
adjusted in the Audio menu:
f Press the AUD 9 button to open the
menu.
f Press the AUD 9 button repeatedly until
"SUBWF" appears on the display along
with the current setting.
f Turn the volume control 1 counterclock-
wise or clockwise to set the level to
between 0 and 7.
To close the menu,
f press the AUD 9 button, repeatedly if
necessary.
Note:
When the sound settings are reset
(see the "Resetting the sound"
section in the "Sound" chapter), the
level of the subwoofer is set to "0".

Preamplifier output

You can connect an additional amplifier to the
device. To do this, the amplifier must be
connected to the rear of the device (compart-
ment C1, pins 1-3 and 6).
