f Press the 1 : button while pause is
enabled.
Playback resumes.

Playlist mode (PLST)

To switch to playlist mode,
f long press the TA ; button.
"PLST ON" appears briefly on the display. Now
only playlists stored on the MP3 storage device
are played.
Note:
If no playlists are stored on the
connected USB storage device, "NO
PLST" appears briefly on the display.
To switch from playlist mode to normal MP3
mode,
f long press the TA ; button.
"PLST OFF" appears briefly on the display. Now
only tracks stored on the MP3 storage device
are played, but no playlists.

IR remote control

The optional IR remote control allows you to
control the most important functions of the
device.

Remote control receiver (IR)

The front panel of the device contains the infra-
red receiver for the remote control. The
receiver must be enabled before using the
remote control:
f Press the MENU 5 button to open the
menu.
f Press the MENU 5 button repeatedly
until "IR" appears on the display along with
the current setting, "OFF" or "ON".
f Turn the volume control 1 counterclock-
wise or clockwise to switch the receiver
on/off.
f Press the MENU 5 button, repeatedly if
necessary, to close the menu.
Setting up the IR remote control
for operation
There is a battery in the battery compartment
G of the remote control when the device is
shipped. A foil blocks the contact between the
battery and the remote control unit. Please
take out the battery and remove the foil before
starting to use the remote control. Read the
section on "Changing the battery" in this
chapter to see how to take out the battery.
