3 Setup

3.1 Delivery check

Any transport damage must be reported immediately to the transport
company. Remember to keep the packaging until the transport
company has checked the goods and a settlement has been reached.

3.2 Assembly

When you receive your wheelchair, you either fit the backrest or, on
some models, fold up the backrest. You also have to fit the armrests
and legrests onto the chair. The assembly is simple and does not
require any tools.

3.2.1 Backrest

On the models where the back rest folds up, the safety pin
B needs to be secured at the bottom of the backrest.

Let the gas piston rest on the lip A for support when the gas
piston is mounted.
2.
When fastening the safety pin B, tilt the backrest slightly forward
while supporting the gas piston manually.
When the holes are aligned, the safety pin B can be attached.
3.
Secure the piston with the safety pin B.
4.
Lock the pin using the lock shackle / loop C.
5.

Secure the backrest cushion using the Velcro strips.
WARNING!
Safety risk
The wheelchair may collapse
– Remember to always reinsert and fasten the safety pin
when it has been removed.
– Check that the lock shackle / loop is securely locked.

On Azalea Minor the backrest is fitted onto the wheelchair by sliding
the profiles A of the backrest onto the tubes of the chair B. Make
sure that you push the backrest down as far as possible. Secure into
place by tightening the knobs C.
WARNING!
Risk of injury
– Check that the backrest is firmly secured in it's
position!

3.2.2 Placing the wires

Place the wires A and B as shown on the picture above.

Risk of damage to the wires
– It is important that the cable for the assistant brake
A is placed on the inside of the backrest tubes.
Place the wire for the backrest/seat recline B outside of the

backrest tubes.
3.
Place both of the wires on the inside of the backrest attachment
C.
4.
Attach the wires to the backrest tubes E with the straps D.
Fold the slack of the wires under the seat to get them
out of the way.
