Brake
Check the brakesfor properfunction.Whenyou squeeze the lever,
the brakeshouldprovidepositivebrakingaction.When youapply
the brakewith the speedcontrol on,the brakecut-offswitch
shouldstopthe motor.Makesurethat brakesare not rubbing.
Frame,
Fork and
Hand|ebars
Check for cracksor brokenconnections. A lthoughbrokenframes
are rare,it is possiblefor an aggressive riderto run into a curb
or wall andwreck andbendor breakaframe. Getin the habit of
inspectingyour scooteron a regularbasis.
Safety
Gear
Alwayswearproperprotectivegear suchas an approvedsafety
helmet.ElbowpadsandI<neepads a re recommended. Always
wearathletic shoes(lace-upshoeswith rubbersoles),never ride
barefootedor in sandals,andkeepshoelacestied andout of the
way of the wheels, motoranddrivesystem.
Battery
Makesurethe power switchis turned off wheneverthe scooteris
not in use.Neverstore the productin freezingor below freezing
temperatures!Freezing will permanentlydamagethe battery.

Tires
Periodicallyinspectthe tires for excesswearand regularlycheck
the front andreartire pressureandre-inflateas necessary.
Turn power switch "OFF" before conducting any maintenance procedures.
3 Adjusting
the
Brakes
Tools required: 10mm open wrench

Thebrakeis capableof skidding
the reartire andthrowing an
unsuspecting rider.Practice
in an openareafree from
obstaclesuntil youare familiar
with the brakefunction.Avoid
skiddingto a stop asthis can
causeyouto losecontroland/or
damagethe reartire.
1 Toadjustthe brakecable
tension,threadthe brakelever
adjusterin or out 1/4 to 1/2
turn until the desiredbrake
adjustmentis attained.Most
adjustmentsarecompleteat
this step.If brakestill needs
further adjustment,proceed to
step 2.
2 If the brakeis too tight or too
loose,usea 10mmopenwrench
to loosenthe nutfor additional
adjustmenton the brakecable.
Securely tighten the nut when
finished.
