before checking or repairing the pump.

Suction line is loose
Loose fittings
Worn or damaged seals and/or pack-
ing
Pump stalled
Air in pump
Worn or damaged check valve seals Replace inlet and outlet check valves
assembling the pump.
Tighten suction line
Tighten fittings
Adjust or tighten seals and/or pack-
ing. If leak persists, replace seals
and/or packing.
Check pump for contamination
Prime pump
