6.4 Updating SIMATIC PDM
Check device descriptions
The Device Integration Manager of PDM V9.0 enables you to filter out the integrated, used
and missing device descriptions. You can also integrate unavailable or updated device
descriptions (for example, from the library of device descriptions (Device Library), from a
download from the vendor website or from a data medium supplied with the devices).

To check the device descriptions, open the "Device Integration Manager" (Start > Device
Integration Manager).
Select the menu command "File > List of integrated device descriptions" to display an
overview of all integrated device descriptions.
Select the menu command "File > List of used device descriptions" and select a project or
multiproject. The integrated and non-integrated (black circle) device descriptions are then
displayed.
