Fuel Header Tank

56.
A fuel header tank which holds approximately 1 USG is mounted on the aft face of the
engine firewall behind the cockpit centre console. This is a "feeder tank" that collects fuel
flowing through the fuel selector valve and provides a steady, uninterrupted flow of fuel to the
fuel injection system on the engine.
57.
A fuel drain for the header tank is installed in the aircraft belly aft of the firewall, just
behind the nose gear scissors. This allows water and contaminants to be drained from the
header tank during the pre-flight inspection.
