Shut-down the aircraft as follows:
ACTION
1. Ground idle
2. Radio master
3. Throttle
4. Magnetos
5. Mixture
6. Magnetos
7. All switches
8. Master switch
9. Fuel Selector
10. Control lock
11. Secure Aircraft
SHUT DOWN
CHECK
1 min @ 1000 RPM
OFF
700 RPM
Live mag check
Idle cutoff
OFF
OFF
OFF
Either Left or Right
Install
 Keys – Secure as req'd
 Cowl Flaps - Open
 Fresh Air Vent - Close
 Chocks - In
 Tie downs - Secure
 Plugs - Install
 Covers – Install as req'd

NOTES
To stabilize engine temps
prior to shutdown (taxi time
may be used).
Select both Mags OFF
momentarily, then back to
BOTH.
Wait until engine stops before
proceeding with remainder of
shutdown checklist
Remove keys from ignition
To prevent cross feeding
during fuelling or when parked
on a sloped surface.
CAUTION
During bird nesting
season, it is essential that
engine plugs be installed
during any shutdown
periods of significant
duration (greater than 10
minutes).
