W hen a numeral key or a key to specify a calculatio n instru ction is pushed in the A E R , C O M P or S T A T m ode, the cursor
indicates each tim e the step in w h ich the instru ction of the key to be pushed next w ill be w ritte n . If the step indicated
by the cursor is fille d w ith an in stru ctio n, a sym bol of th a t step and all o f dots contained in one-digit display of that step
are alte rn a te ly displayed as cursor display. T h e cursor can be fre e ly shifted w ith in the d ivid ed area w h ere instructions are
w ritte n b y operating the | ► 1 and | ^ | keys.
S o m e keys require a m axim um of 5 digits fo r the display o f the corresponding instruction. F o r step, any instruction is
cou nted as one step. (E x . S S N H - 1 ............ 1 step)
In new key o peration causes the d isplay to exceed 24 digits (22 digits in A E R m ode), the previous display is shifted to
the left to provide a space to display the new inp ut and the sym bol w ill appear.
