Troubleshooting Minor Faults
Fault
Washing machine door cannot be
opened.
Detergent residue in the detergent
drawer.
Control lights do not come on.
Programme does not start.
The "wash/ready " and "rinse"
indicator lights flash

Risk of electric shock!
Repairs may be carried out by customer service or
authorised technicians only.
If repairs are needed, and assuming that you cannot
eliminate the fault yourself with the aid the following
table:
Turn the programme selector to Off.

Disconnect the appliance from the mains.
■
Turn off the tap.
■
Call customer service, see page 37.
■
Cause
There is water in the drum.
Safety function is active.
Damp or lumpy detergent.
A fuse has triggered.
Power failure.
Plug is loose or not plugged in.
Loading door not closed properly.
Start Soaking A button not
pressed.
Remedial action
Select Spin Í .
Wait for 2 minutes.
Clean and dry the detergent
dispenser; see page 30.
Use the dosing aid for liquid
detergent.
Switch on/replace the fuse.
If the fault occurs repeatedly, call
Customer Service.
An interrupted programme will be
resumed when the power returns. If
the washing is to be moved,proceed
as described under "Cleaning the
drain pump"; see from page 31.
Check whether laundry is trapped in
door.
Close the loading door (a click
should be heard).
Press the Start Soaking A
button.
