Intended Use The PCV-USB-RS485-Converter Set is an interface converter which enables the configuration of devices with RS485 interface or RS422 interface over a standard USB computer interface. - Page 6 PCV-USB-RS485-Converter Set Configuration Do not plug in the interface converter to your PC just yet! Note 2. First, install the software from the enclosed CD. Restarting the system is not required.
- Page 7 PCV-USB-RS485-Converter Set Configuration 3. Right click the My Computer icon and select the submenu "Properties" . 4. Go now to the submenu "Hardware". 5. Then select the submenu "Device manager".
- Page 8 PCV-USB-RS485-Converter Set Configuration 6. Under "Device manager", go to "Ports (COM& LPT)". Click at the + symbol in front of "Ports (COM& LPT)" to sho all presently available ports. 7. Now plug the adapter into the computer using the USB cord.
