1. DESCRIPTION OF THE FLASHING GRAPHIC SYMBOLS

The graphic display on the touch panel shows the status

of the copier. When one of the graphic symbols flashes,
take the appropriate action referring to the page shown.

When one of the graphic symbols flashes, press the
HELP key to display the guidance.

CHECK ORIGINALS
Flashes if an original misfeed occurs inside the
reversing automatic document feeder.

PAPER EXIT MISFEED
Flashes if a paper misfeed occurs at the paper

exit. Page 7-12
PAPER PATH MISFEED
Flashes if a paper misfeed occurs on the paper

path inside the copier.
BYPASS MISFEED
Flashes if a sheet of paper fails to be fed into the

copier during bypass copying.
REPLACE TONER CARTRIDGE
Flashes when the toner cartridge runs out of

EXTERNAL LCF MISFEED
Flashes if paper fed from the External LCF

(optional) is misfed.
DRAWER MISFEED
Flashes when paper fed from one of the drawers

is misfed.
DUPLEXER MISFEED
Flashes if a paper misfeed occurs inside the

automatic duplexer.

REPLACE TONER BAG
Flashes when the toner bag becomes full of used
toner. Please call your service technician to ask to
have the used toner bag replaced with a new one.

INVERTER MISFEED
Flashes if a paper misfeed occurs in the inverter
during duplex copying.
SADDLE STITCH UNIT MISFEED
Flashes if a paper misfeed occurs inside the saddle
stitch of the finisher (option).
FINISHER/HOLE PUNCH UNIT MISFEED
Flashes if a paper misfeed occurs inside the fin-
isher (optional) or the hole punch unit (optional).
