Click the [Start] button and select [Settings] - [Control Panel]

Double-click the System icon

Click the hardware tab, then click the Device Manager button.

Check that no marks indicating a problem ("!" or "X") are displayed
for any icons under "PCMCIA Adapters".
The name of the PCMCIA controller may vary depending on model of
your computer.
