Points of Interest (or POIs) are commercial or
recreational locations, landmarks, or services that are
preloaded into the Magellan Maestro 4000/4040/4050
database. There are over six million POI's in the
database, which range from restaurants, parks, gas
stations, and banks, to schools and police stations, and
more. The purpose of the POI database (accessed
through the Dining, ATM, Gas... menu option) is to
provide you with a list of popular destinations without having to enter the
address manually in order to route to them.
