Using an External Flash

To adjust settings for a fl ash unit mounted on the hot shoe or
connected via the sync terminal:
1 Connect the unit to the camera.

In shooting mode, select FLASH
FUNCTION SETTING in the F (FLASH
SETTING) menu tab. The options
available vary with the fl ash unit.
Menu Menu
SUPPLIED Displayed when the supplied EF-X8 fl ash unit is mounted
FLASH on the hot shoe and raised.
Adjust settings for fl ash units connected via the sync
SYNC terminal. SYNC TERMINAL is displayed if the EF-X8 is
TERMINAL lowered and either no fl ash unit, or an incompatible fl ash
unit, is mounted on the hot shoe.
SHOE MOUNT Displayed when an optional fl ash unit is mounted on the
FLASH hot shoe and turned on.
Displayed if an optional fl ash unit functioning as a master
MASTER
fl ash for FUJIFILM optical wireless remote fl ash control is
(OPTICAL)
connected and turned on.
3 Highlight items using the selector
and rotate the rear command dial to
change the highlighted setting.

Press DISP/BACK to put the changes into eff ect.
