     You now own a new wheelchair with Easywheel. For you to get the best possible use out of it, and for it to suit your needs as much as possible, we hope that you have had it tested by an approved agent. This means that your wheelchair, with Easywheel, has been adjusted to suit your requirements and at the same time your bodyweight and needs have been taken into consideration.

    Have received training in how to use Easywheel  Are in good physical and mental condition in order to be able to operate Easywheel safely in all its operational modes.  Instructions in the use of Easywheel are included in the delivery and are undertaken within an agreed time scale through your specialist dealer or a representative of Decon Wheel.

    Protection from tipping  Before you begin using Easywheel for the first time, you must check that the anti-tip protection is mounted on the wheelchair. For safety reasons you should only take away the anti-tip-protection in order to overcome an obstacle, for instance, high kerbs or similar.

    Areas of use Easywheel is a mechanical hub with a gearing system which is activated using the hand rim. The gear in the hub is connected to the hand rim. When the hand rim is rotated forward the gear system is activated and helps the user to drive the wheelchair forward.
  • Page 8: Guarantee And Maintenance Advice

    The frame should be dried with a soft cloth, moistened with cleaning fluid diluted with water.  Check over Easywheel twice a year to ensure that no cracks or any other damage has arisen. If there is any sign of damage then we ask you to inform Decon Wheel immediately.
