Technical Information
This reference contains informa-
tion on how to change the Tandy
200 default power up conditions,
how to restore it to its original
memory condition, and also gives
technical information on all the
Tandy 200 device interfaces.
Auto Power-Off Settings
If inactive for 10 minutes, the
Tandy 200 turns itself off. You
can change this 10-minute time
interval or completely cancel the
power-off function.
To change the 10-minute time in-
terval: Enter BASIC and type the
POWER command using the for-
mat POWER n. n is a number
from 10 to 255—The Tandy 200
will multiply n times 6 seconds.
For example:
POWER 10 (ENTER]
The above command sets the
time interval to 1 minute (10 X 6
seconds = 60 seconds):
To cancel the auto power-off
function: Enter BASIC and type
the following:
POWER CONT
Cold Restart
If you ever need to restore the
Tandy 200 to its original memory
condition, you can do so with a
cold restart.
Warning: This will erase all files
you have stored in memory.
To do a cold restart, press
(CTRLIPAUSE) while either
pressing the Power Switch or
pressing Reset.
