5.29 Defogging and Defrosting

Inside of the Windshield
• Press the defroster switch
• Adjust the fan speed with the fan speed control
• To quickly remove the moisture on the glass, set the fan speed
button at a high speed position
• To prevent fog from forming on the glass, setting the air source
selection switch to the fresh air intake mode is recommended
Outside of the Windshield
• Press the defroster switch
• Adjust the fan speed with the fan speed control

• To quickly remove the frost on the glass, set the fan speed
button at a high speed position
• Set the temperature control switch to a hot position
When it rains and is very humid, you may have fog on the
windshield and windows. The fog will block your view through all
windows and can create a dangerous situation. To prevent any
fog on the glass, setting the air source selection switch to the
fresh air intake mode is recommended
When you press this defrost switch, the air conditioner turns
on automatically and the system selects the fresh air intake
mode

Defroster switch
• An extended air conditioner operation in the bi-level mode or
defrost mode may cause the outside glass to fog due to the
