CLEAR/HOME KEY
There's an even easier way to move the cursor
to the top left corner of your computer screen
when you want to do something different, or
when you make a mistake and want to start
over. Just press the CLR/HOME key. The
cursor immediately jumps to the top left corner
of your screen, called the home position. Just
like a carrier pigeon, the cursor needs a home
base. Try pressing the CLR/HOME key now.
SCREEN 1
Now move the cursor down to the center of
your screen and type in a few letters.
SCREEN 2
To clear that message off the screen, hold
down the SHIFT key and press the CLR/HOME
key. The cursor now has jumped to the top
left corner of your screen |the home position)
and everything typed on the screen has
disappeared! Holding the SHIFT
key while pressing the CLR/HOME key is like
using a chalkboard eraser, only much cleaner.
Now you can start typing with a clean slate—
or rather, a clean screen.
