3.15 Sound Test

To execute the expansion test, select 12 from the DIAGNOSTIC TEST MENU, press Enter,
and follow the directions on the screen. The sound test contains three subtests that test the
T4900CT's sound functions.
Subtest 01 CODEC (REC/PLAY)
Test the functions of the Codec (AD1848) A/D, D/A converter. At the same
time, test the microphone and headphone terminals. When you execute
AD1848.com, a key-input message is displayed. Press Enter to record sound.
Immediately after recording, the sound will be played.
Subtest 02 SIN wave playback
Use DMA and IRQ to play previously sampled sine wave data. The channels
used are DRQ1 and IRQ7.
Subtest 03 FM Synthesizer
Test the OPL3 (YMF262) functions. The sound interval and tone can be
controlled by an internal register. When the program is executed, an 8-note
scale is played.
