making use of suitable equipment. Do not use the ma-
chine until all the instructions provided in the "ASSEM-
BLY" section have been carried out.
4.1
ASSEMBLY COMPONENTS
The packaging includes assembly components.
4.1.1
Unpacking
1.
Carefully open the packaging, paying
attention not to lose components.
2.
Consult the documentation in the box,
including these instructions.
3.
Remove all the unassembled parts from the box.
4.
Remove the machine from the box.
5.
Dispose of the box and packaging in
compliance with local regulations.
4.2
GRASS-CATCHER ASSEMBLY
• Type "I"
Join the two side components (Fig.3.A) and
(Fig.3.B) of the grass catcher, then fit the top part
(Fig.3.C), inserting all the outer fittings correctly.
• Type "II"
With the grass catcher turned upside down, snap
on all the plastic sections (Fig.4.A) to the chassis
(Fig.4.B), using a screwdriver as illustrated.
4.3
HANDLE ASSEMBLY
• Type "I", Type "II"
1.
Assemble the lower right (Fig.5.A) and left
(Fig.5.B) parts of the handle onto the screws
(Fig.5.C) protruding from the chassis.
2.
Fasten the knobs (Fig.5.E) using the
supplied nuts and bolts (Fig.5.D).
3.
Tighten the knobs until the plastic piece holding
the screw in position snaps (Fig.5.F).
4.
Fasten the top of the handle (Fig.5.G) to the
bottom parts using the knobs (Fig.5.H) and the
supplied nuts and bolts (Fig.5.I) as shown, using
one of the two holes provided for adjusting the
height of the handle to the operator's stature.
5.
Fit the cable clamp (Fig.5.J) in the indicated
position and clamp the cable (Fig.5.K) holding
it in place along the inside of the machine.
5.
CONTROLS
5.1
CONTROL LEVER
The control lever starts/stops the motor and
simultaneously engages/disengages the cutting means.
The positions indicated correspond to:
Run. To start the motor, press the
safety button (Fig.6.A), and pull the
lever (Fig.6.B) and wait for 2-3 seconds
for the motor to start running.
Stop. The motor stops when the
lever (Fig.6.B) is released.
Ignition of the motor simultaneously
engages the cutting means.
5.2
CUTTING HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
Lower or raise the chassis to cut the
grass at different heights.
Do this when the cutting means is stationary.
To adjust the cutting height:
1.
Tilt the machine on one side.
2.
Use both hands to position the wheel axle in one
of the grooves on the inside of the chassis.
3.
The height must be the same for both axes.
Do not tilt the wheel axle during this operation,
so that it slots simultaneously into one of the grooves
provided.
A.
Ground position. The cutting height
is in the highest position (Fig.7.A).
B.
Intermediate position. The cutting height
is in the intermediate position (Fig.7.B).
C.
High position. The cutting height is
in the lowest position (Fig.7.C).
6.
USING THE MACHINE
The safety regulations to follow are described in
chap. 2. Strictly comply with these instructions to avoid
serious risks or dangers.
6.1
PREPARATION
Before starting to work, it is necessary to carry
out several checks and operations to ensure you
can work efficiently and in maximum safety.
Place the grass mower in a stable
horizontal position on the ground.
6.1.1
Preparing the machine before starting work
a.
Preparation for grass cutting and collection in the
grass catcher:
1. Lift the rear discharge guard (Fig.8.A) and fasten
the grass catcher correctly as shown in the illustra-
tion (Fig.8.B).
6.1.2
Cutting height adjustment
Adjust the cutting height as indicated in (par. 5.2).
