• The equipment has been exposed to moisture

• The equipment has obvious signs of damage
• The equipment has not been working well or you cannot get it to work according to
the Owner's Manual

Installation and Operation

The U227-FT3-R is a plug
and play device. Simply
connect the unit's USB
dongle to the USB port on
your PC or laptop and the
USB 2.0 Hub is ready to use.
After connecting the U227-
FT3-R, a pop-up message
will appear indicating the USB Hub has been connected. Connect up to 3 USB2.0
peripherals to use on your computer.
Note: The U227-FT3-R can only be used to transfer files between Windows 2000 / XP /
Vista computers.
To use the file transfer function, connect the U227-FT3-R to the PC or laptop you wish
to share files between using the included Mini-USB cable. A screen should pop up
asking you what action you wish to perform. Click on Run Easysuite.exe to execute the
installer program. Note: Windows Vista users will encounter a User Account Control
dialog box. Enter the Administrator password and click allow to start the installation.
The workstation will appear and separate into two parts, Remote Host and Local Host
(see below). If the workstation does not automatically appear, go into the My Computer
screen of both PCs and double-click the EasySuite icon.
Simply drag-and-drop the desired file from the Local Host to the Remote Host (or vice
versa) to transfer files between the two PCs (see below).

In the event your USB device does not receive enough power, and optional external
power jack is provided for a user-supplied power cord. Specifications for the power jack
are 5V, 1A .
