- Page 4 Installation instructions Step 1- Unbolt and remove the factory rubber contact pad. It may be necessary to lubricate the factory rubber contact pad in order to remove it from the vehicle. If the upper overload perch is rounded, use the supplied 3 Point contact washer. If your overload perch is flat, DO NOT use the 3 Point contact washer.
