HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY
GROUNDED PLUG
To reduce the risk of electric shock this appliance has a grounded plug
(2 blades and 1 pin). If the plug does not fit fully into the electrical outlet
contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way or use
an adaptor.

BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Read all instructions carefully and keep them for future reference.
2. Remove all packaging.
3. Fill the Kettle with 500 mL (2 cups) of cold tap water and bring to a
boil. Add 250 mL (1 cup) of white vinegar and let stand for at least 1
hour or overnight. Discard.
4. Fill the kettle to the maximum fill line, indicated inside the kettle, with
cold tap water. Bring to a boil and discard. Repeat.
5. The kettle is ready to use.
HOW TO USE
1. Take off the Lid and fill the kettle through the lid opening with a
minimum of 500 mL (2 cups) of water.
2. DO NOT attempt to fill the Kettle while it is plugged into the wall outlet.
DO NOT use for other than boiling water. Other liquids will
contaminate the interior of the kettle.
DO NOT fill past the MAX level indicated inside the kettle. Overfilling
may cause water to spit out when boiling.
3. Close the Lid. Ensure that that the 3 steam holes are placed towards
the spout.
4. Place Kettle on Base on a flat, level, dry, heat resistant surface.
Ensure that it is correctly engaged on the Base.
5. Plug into a 120V AC wall outlet.
NOTE: Never plug kettle into an electrical outlet when the kettle is
empty.
6. Direct kettle spout away from cabinets, walls, etc. to prevent possible
steam damage.
