Turning Off the System ....................................

Press
• Turns off automatic operation
for both programs, A and B.
• Press RAIN OFF again, or END/CANCEL, to restart operation.
• In Rain Off mode, you can still water manually (press ONE STATION or ALL
STATIONS). System will remain off after manual watering is complete.
• You can also press RAIN OFF to stop manual watering (any
remaining time is lost).

Short Detection .................................................

The PSC-Z is designed with electronic short detection. If a valve
wire is shorted, the PSC-Z will detect the short then continue
watering all other stations. When automatic watering is complete,
the display will show the problem:
• To return to the normal
Time and Day display,
press END/CANCEL.
• To program the controller,
press the buttons you would normally use for programming. The
PSC-Z will again display the error message when the next
automatic watering program is complete.

Connecting a Rain Sensor .................................

A rain sensor can be connected to the PSC-Z to turn the
controller off when an appropriate amount of rain is measured.
The controller display then appears as shown:
• The sensor connects directly
to the controller. When the
sensor is activated, you can
easily override the sensor
and water manually simply
by pressing ONE STATION or ALL STATIONS.

Automatic Test Feature .....................................

The PSC-Z test feature allows you to quickly test the display and
station outputs.
• Press the NEXT, LAST, and RAIN OFF buttons at the same time. This
will light the entire display for a quick visual test.
• Then press the ALL STATIONS button to automatically turn each
station on for 3 seconds. Use a multimeter or solenoid to test each
station's output.
• Press the END/CANCEL button at any time during testing to stop the test.
