Air filter
The engine performance is adversely affected when the air cleaner element is
clogged with dust. Be sure to clean the air filter element periodically.
NOTICE: When the engine is operated in dusty conditions clean the air filter element
more frequently. Never operate the engine with the air filter element removed. This
may allow foreign material to enter the engine and cause damage.
1. Unlatch and remove the air cleaner cover.
2. Remove the filter element.
3.Replace the filter element with a new one if the element is damaged, excessively
dirty or oily.
4. Clean the inside of the air cleaner cover.
5. Reinstall the air cleaner cover making sure you match the arrow on the cover with
the arrow on the case.
6. Latch the air cleaner cover to the case.
