Custom Maps

Garmin SiteSurvey allows the use of custom maps, users
can edit KMZ/KML/JPEG/GIF/BMP/PNG/TIFF files within
SiteSurvey, and export the packaged KMZ files to your
Garmin device with just one click.

Importing Map Images

Open Garmin SiteSurvey, choose a layer of Custom
Map, select
, and select the format.
1 Select the Custom Maps tab ①.
2 Click Import button ②.
3 Select the file format ③.

Editing Custom Maps

Click the edit map button
Drag the corners to resize
Click to pan/rotate the map
View the coordinates to position the map

Exporting Custom Maps

Select an option:
• Connect your device to the computer, and export the
map with one click:
1 Right-click within the Custom Map tab.
2 Click Export All To Device in the pop-up window.
3 Select the device or the memory card.
4 Click OK.
• Export the map to a KMZ package, and copy to the
device manually:
1 Click the export button in the Custom Maps tab.
2 Select a storage path.
3 Copy the KMZ files to the directory Garmin\
CustomMaps under the device or the memory
card.

Rename the feature
Switch the collection items
Edit the feature attribute list
Take a photo
View the map
Save

Feature Manager

Users can view collection jobs and collection targets
with the data management function, and navigate
to collection targets or locations where pictures were
taken.
