  • Page 2 Harmonic Resolution Systems, Inc. will enable your audio/video source and amplification components to achieve high levels of performance. The SXR Audio Stand, which includes the HRS Isolation Base as the primary shelf system, is a perfect match for the HRS Damping Plates and Nimbus Products.

    Safety Instructions IMPORTANT WARNINGS! Do not place any tall objects on the top shelf of the SXR Audio Stand. A tall object is any object with a height that is greater than the length of the isolation base. A tall object is also any object that has a height greater than its own width or length.

  • Page 4: Set-Up Instructions

    Set-Up Instructions The SXR Audio Stand consists of a frame structure and the isolation bases that support each component. The components required to assemble the frame are shipped in one or more boxes. The number of boxes depends on the system size.
  • Page 5 (minor adjustments can be made prior to torque of the bolts). Note: If assembling a double or triple wide SXR the Center Brace will be installed to the other side of the Cross Brace.
  • Page 6 Never force a threaded connection. If it does not thread on easily then there is something wrong and you should contact HRS or your local retail facility for assistance. Apply proper torque when instructed and after all the fasteners at each step are in place.
  • Page 7 Apply 4-5 drops of the 3-in-1 oil to the top few threads of each of the six threaded studs as shown in Photo 5. If assembling a SXR-1V (one high stand or amp stand) go to Step 10. If not continue with next step.
  • Page 8 Use the HRS Grip Pad (Photo 7) to torque all of the SXR Struts for this layer. Wrap the HRS Grip Pad on the SXR Strut as shown in Photo 8. Using your hand on the HRS Grip Pad to fully torque each strut as shown in Photo 9..
  • Page 9 Photo 7 Photo 8 Step 7. After proper torque of each strut is complete, add a polymer ring over the threaded end of each strut. Be sure the polymer ring is seated fully on the strut as shown in Photo 10 (the polymer ring should sit on the non-threaded shoulder just below where the thread stops).
  • Page 10 Photo 10 Note: If your SXR came partially assembled please make sure that in Step 8 the 1/4” - 20 x 3/4” flat head cap screws must be loosened 1/4 turn before proceeding to Step 9. Step 8. Refer to steps 1 and 2 to build another Support/Cross Brace subassembly as shown in Photo 11.
  • Page 11 Step 9. Carefully place the Support/Cross Brace subassembly onto the struts of the SXR by placing each strut through the holes of the Support Braces as shown in Photo 12. Make sure the HRS logo of the Support/Cross Brace subassembly is located on the same side as first Cross Brace.
  • Page 12 As done in Step 4 - add 3-4 drop of oil to each of the threads of the struts. If your SXR requires another layer to be added repeat Steps 5 to 9. Note when building the additional layers you should torque the struts in a sequence and then through the same sequence again until each strut is tight (approximately 1/8 to 1/2 turn past snug to be fully torque).
  • Page 13 Step 11. When the Locking Nut meets the polymer ring and begins to become hard to tighten use the custom nylon wrench shown in photo 15 to tighten the Locking Nut. The Locking Nut will require about 1 full turn after the Locking Nut is hand tight to achieve desired torque.
  • Page 14 Frame upright as shown in Photo 18. Move the frame to the exact final location for use in your system. Make sure the front of the frame is the side with the HRS logo on the Cross Brace facing into the room. You are now ready to level the SXR frame.
  • Page 15 Resolution Systems or your local certified retail location to arrange to have this corrected. Load the Isolation Bases into the SXR Frame (see Photo 19 and 20), with the HRS logo facing the front of the rack system. Be sure that the isolation base (shelf) foot is located securely in the pocket of the SXR Frame Support Brace.
  • Page 16 Loading Components into SXR Frame - Carefully load each component into the SXR Audio Stand. Be careful not to hit the front edge of the isolation base because you will scratch the frame. Once all the components are loaded, you should check to see that none of the isolation bases are overloaded.

    Care and Maintenance The SXR Audio Stand is a very low maintenance item that will provide many years of trouble-free performance by applying these basic care instructions. Clean the external surfaces of the SXR Audio Stand frame using a professional quality ultra soft lint-free micro-fiber cloth available in high quality automotive stores.

    Limited Warranty Harmonic Resolution Systems warrants the product designated herein to be free of manufacturing defects in material and workmanship subject to the conditions herein set forth, for a period of 90 days from the date of purchase by the original purchaser.
  • Page 19 During the warranty period, Harmonic Resolution Systems will repair or replace any defective components free of charge. A Return Authorization Number (RA Number) obtained directly from Harmonic Resolution Systems is required before any product is returned to Harmonic Resolution Systems for any reason. This number must be visible on the exterior of the shipping container(s) for Harmonic Resolution Systems to accept the return.
