AUOIDING
..RED EYE':
"Red eye" is a common phenomenon in flash photog-
raphy where the center portions of a subject's eyes
, appear as bright red orbs in color photographs, or
white in black-and-white oictures.
To avoid "red eyeJ' take any or all of the following pre-
caulrons:
.Ask lhe subject not to look directly into the lens when
I
the picture is taken.
? o Using a sync cord or TTL Remote Cord SC-17 or
SC-24, remove the flash unit from the camera and
I
hold it as far away from the camera as possible.
r Increase the overall room illumination to reduce
openrng of the subject's pupils.
