First page smeared ink after first page it works fine

The Brother TN630 toner may cause smeared ink on the first page because the waste toner is transferred back into the toner cartridge, contaminating it. When a bad toner cartridge is used, it can contaminate the drum unit, which then transfers the bad toner back into new cartridges, leading to smears or backgrounding on printed pages.

Turn TN-630/TN-660 Printer on. The green Ready-light shows and the printer seems to do some internal checks. Then the white Toner light comes on. The owner replaced the Toner-assembly with a new one, but the same light sequence is happening and the printer still does not print. What is the next step I can recommend to the owner.

If the Brother TN630 printer shows a white toner light after replacing the toner assembly, follow these troubleshooting steps:

1. Confirm that a new, out-of-the-box toner cartridge (TN630 or TN660) is installed. Used cartridges may not reset the toner message.
2. Open the front cover and remove the drum and toner assembly.
3. Place the assembly on a piece of paper to catch any spilled toner.
4. Press the green lock lever on the drum unit and remove the toner cartridge.
5. Gently rock the toner cartridge from side to side.
6. Reinstall the toner cartridge into the drum unit.
7. Reinstall the drum and toner assembly into the printer.

Ensure that the cartridge has the proper reset gear, as the printer uses this to detect a new cartridge and reset the toner status.

To set up a wireless connection for a Brother machine (such as one using TN630 toner), follow these steps:

1. Gather Network Information:
- SSID (Network Name)
- Network Security Key (Password)
- Ensure your network uses WPA2-PSK with AES (not TKIP).

2. Use the Machine's Control Panel:
- Go to the wireless setup option.
- Select your network and enter the password.

3. Apply Settings:
- Leave the selection set to "Yes" and press OK.

4. Check Connection Status:
- If "Connected" appears on the LCD, press Stop/Exit.
- If "Wrong NetworkKey" or "Wrong Password" appears, re-enter the correct settings.
- If "Connection Fail" appears, make sure your network supports WPA2-PSK with AES and the settings are correct.

5. Verify Connection:
- Print the Network Configuration report.
- Check if the IP address is valid (not all zeroes or starting with 169.254).

6. If Connection Fails:
- Restart your router.
- Recheck and re-enter wireless settings.

Once connected, install the printer driver or use mobile printing features.
