Special instructions

When moving to the operating location, the brush or
the pad must be raised by tilting the machine onto the
wheels.
Move carefully over thresholds and steps. Tilt the
machine and move on the two transportation wheels
until the threshold has been crossed.

2 _4.1

Initial operation

Each time the machine is initially oper-
ated, the safety and accident prevention
regulations which apply in the location in
which the machine is operated must be
complied with.
When using the machine for the first time practise with
light accessories, e.g. Union polishing brush.
Do not leave the machine standing on the floor pad
while not in use.
Operation of the machine for a long period of time
in the same position may lead to damage to the
floor covering.

Usage - working with the machine

Picture 7: Tilt the guide shaft (8) into the operating
position by actuating the shaft adjustment lever (5) and
engage. Connect the mains connection lead (6) to the
mains power supply with the plug. After settimg the
correct operating pressure, the green light on the
optimeter must illuminate, the machine is ready for
operation. The machine is continuously operated by
releasing the safety device - press switch-on safety
device (1) towards the centre - and constant depression
of one or two of the operating buttons (2). The mains
connection lead (6) is to be routed so that it lies behind
you. Always work in the opposite direction to the
socket.
