2 Installation
WARNING! Installation must be carried out only by a
qualified electrician.
The installation procedure encompasses the following steps:
•
Device fixing.
•
Programming.
•
Completion and test.
2.1 Device fixing
INSTRUCTIONS RELEVANT TO POSITIONING
The device can be installed:
•
on the top of the frame of the window or of the balcony door to
be protected;
•
on the architrave or on the ceiling above the window or the
balcony door to be protected (in this case the magnetic contact
might not be usable);
•
on the window frame stile (solution to be adopted in special
cases);
•
far from heat sources or direct sunlight;
•
far from electromagnetic sources (e.g. electricity meters,
at
electric engine);
•
at a distance of at least 1.5 meters from florescent lights.
Figure 1 shows the IR coverage diagram.
If the access to be protected is larger than the area covered by the
single detector, it is possible to install multiple devices, also opposite
one to the other, with overlapping coverage areas.
1 General description
The Dual IR perimeter detector enables to control accesses through
two different detecting modes.
Through two IR sensors it is possible to control free passages, such
as open windows or balcony doors. The linear lens of the device
have a tent-like coverage.
Through an external contact (optional) the device enables to control
the opening of doors, windows, blinds and shutters in general. This
function can be excluded by leaving active only the IR operation.
The device is equipped with anti-masking function (that can be
excluded).
