6. OPERATION

6.1 Making the scale operational

CAUTION!

Perform a function check as described in the
section entitled "Function check" on page 89
before using the device each time.
1. Disconnect the power pack connector from the
power supply socket.
2. Disconnect the power pack connector from the
connecting socket on the scale.
3. Undo the locking screws and carefully fold down
the railing until it abuts completely.
4. Fold up the latch until it engages securely in the
railing.
5. Fold away the access ramps.
6. Carefully align the device with the railing.
7. Move the device in this position to the desired set-
up or storage location.
ATTENTION!
Incorrect measurement due to force shunts
If the scale and housing is in contact with some-
thing, e.g. a towel, weight will not be measured
correctly.
– Set the scale up so that only its foot screws
1. Place the scale on firm, level surface.
2. Undo the knurled wheels.
3. Level the device by turning the foot screws.
