Operating requirements
Ultrasonic sensors
To ensure full functional capability:
–
Do not cover the sensors, for example
with stickers.
–
Keep the sensors clean and unobstruc-
ted.
For measuring parking spaces
–
The vehicle must be driving forwards in
a straight line at speeds up to approxi-
mately 35 km/h, approximately 22 mph.
–
Maximum distance to the row of parked
vehicles: 1.5 m, approximately 5 ft.
Suitable parking space
–
Gap behind an object that is at least
1.5 m, approximately 5 ft long.
–
Gap between two objects, each at least
1.5 m, approximately 5 ft long.
–
Minimum length of gap between two ob-
jects: own vehicle length plus approxi-
mately 1.0 m, approximately 3.3 ft.
–
Minimum depth: approximately 1.5 m,
approximately 5 ft.
For parking
–
Doors and tailgate are closed.
–
The parking brake is released.
–
You must indicate accordingly when
parking into parking spaces on the driv-
er's side.
Switching on and activating
Switching on with the button
Press the Park Assistant button.
The LED is illuminated.

the parking space search on the Control Dis-
play.
Park Assistant is automatically activa-
ted.
