Introduction
The FRM220-40G-2Q is a 40G QSFP+ transponder that aggregates
10Gbps services up to 40Gbps and extends transmission distance. To meet
the growing needs for more bandwidth for data centers and enterprises,
FRM220-40G-2Q can also transport various wavelengths in the optical
network and can receive, amplify and re-transmit the signal for continuous
transmission. The emergence of high-end servers and Ethernet Switches
with 40G Ethernet interfaces also increases the need for media conversion
(multi-mode to single-mode) and link range extension.
The FRM220-40G-2Q is hot-swappable card with two QSFP+ slots for
40G QSFP+ transceivers. All slots support plug-and-play. When the
FRM220-40G-2Q card is placed in the Chassis rack with SNMP
management, the network personnel can view the converter card's status,
type, version, fiber link status. The card can be configured to enable or
disable the port, reset the port, provide diagnostic loopback and activate link
fault pass-through function.
