    HDMI de-embedder/embedder designed to bridge 2-channel PCM HDMI audio to/from a Dante audio network. In addition, the unHX2D includes two line level analog inputs and outputs that can be independently bridged to/from a Dante audio network and/or the HDMI.

    User Manual Hot Plug Override – Configurable Hot Plug Detect supports typical repeater scenarios but can also be overridden to allow de-embedding of the HDMI audio source without a connected HDMI sink on the unHX2D HDMI output. HDCP Override – HDCP can be disabled on the input in order to signal source devices, such as Mac computers to output unencrypted content when used with downstream devices that don’t support HDCP.

    It is recommended that the unit be secured to a flat surface with a screw through each mounting flange. Dimensions for mounting are shown in Figure 5 below.   • Page 9 If the Dante interface is being used, there may also be some activity on the unHX2D Dante Ethernet connector LEDs. If the cable is connected and no network is detected, both LEDs will remain off. If an active connection is made both LEDs will come on and if there is network activity, the yellow LED will then flash.

Refer to the following diagrams and instructions for connecting different types of audio devices. Professional grade audio cabling is recommended to achieve the best audio performance throughout the system.

    “Device Info” page, though only its name will present and all other information will be blank. Other information on the unHX2D in other parts of Dante Controller will also either be blank or marked “N/A”. In this state, it will also not be possible to route audio to and from the unHX2D either.

    4.2 – Using the Command interface In order to make use of the command interface, regardless of type, the unHX2D simply needs to be configured with an IP address that is compatible with the device doing the controlling. The control devices should then be able to converse with the unHX2D without any further configuration necessary.
