2.2 Installing the Support Bracket
A support bracket with roller is provided for the Optical Module. This is mounted to the
rear of the iCycler thermal cycler as shown in Figure 4. Using the two ¼" #6 Phillips screws,
adjust the height of the bracket so that both of the screws are approximately in the center of
the slots on the bracket. Tighten the screws firmly.

2.3 Mounting the Optical Module
The Optical Module mounts directly to the top of the optical lid, as shown in Figure 5.
Caution: Use care not to fingerprint the 45-degree mirror at the front of the Optical Module
during installation. If fingerprinted, the mirror can be cleaned using alcohol and an optical
wipe, while wearing latex gloves to prevent skin oils from contaminating the mirror.
