Replenishing C oolant

Open the radiator cap only if the
coolant tem perature is below
194° F (90° C). First turn cap to
notch num ber I to relieve excess
pressure. If opened imm ediately,
hot coolant and vapor w ou ld be
ejected.
Pour cold w ater into a hot engine
only if it is running. Both hot and
cold engines can be filled up w ith
hot water.
The coolant level m ust reach:
• to marking 1 if the coolant
is cold,
• to marking 2 if the coolant
is h o t . .
C hecking Fuels C oolants
The drain plugs are on the RH side
of the engine and LH bottom
m ount o f the radiator.
For antifreeze brands, refer to
"Fuels, Coolants, Lubricants, etc.".
C aution
To refill the radiator, the bleed
screw (1) m ust be removed.
