maintenance to prevent an electric shock or the motor being
started accidentally.
Problem
The hedge
trimmer does not
run.
Not enough
power, not
running smooth.
Motor produces a
large amount of
sparks.
If you are unable to rectify the fault, contact our service department (details provided
on the warranty card) or find a specialist workshop.
Potential causes, solutions, tips
Check whether the hedge trimmer is connected to mains
electricity.
House fuse or residual current circuit breaker has been
triggered – check the extension cord for damage.
The motor overload protection has triggered because the
motor has been overloaded or has overheated. Let the hedge
trimmer cool off for 15–20 minutes.
The double cutter has been jammed by plant remains or
foreign objects (e.g. a piece of wire). Disconnect the hedge
trimmer from the mains first. Check the blade with double
cutter
and remove any foreign objects.
4
Double cutter blunt or faulty – have the hedge trimmer
checked by a specialist workshop.
Carbon brushes faulty – have the hedge trimmer checked by a
specialist workshop.
