4. Product Quality, Reliability and Safety

The device has been designed with an emphasis on quality, reliability and safety, but AMI can
only accept responsibility for these aspects, provided the following conditions are met
 The device should be used as per the operating instructions mentioned in the user
manual provided by AMI.
 All modifications and repairs to the device should be carried out by authorized AMI
personnel or their agents.

The user must follow the regulations specified in the below warnings, cautions and
care & maintenance.

4.1 Warning

 If you encounter any problem while taking blood pressure measurement, such as
inflation does not stop or air leakage in the cuff, remove the cuff or pull out the air
tube from the base unit.
 Do not wrap the cuff around the arm where an intravenous injection or transfusion is
being given to the patient.
 Do not operate the gadget in places where inflammable gas, such as highly
inflammable anesthetic, may be generated or in a high-pressure oxygen room or in an
oxygen tent.
 Keep the gadget away from infants, small children or anyone who is incapable of
using the gadget in a correct manner.
 The device is designed for adults and not recommended for the neonates, pediatrics
and infants.
 The user is recommended to insert the given USB plug in the USB port of the base
unit during battery mode operation.
