Getting Started

to begin using your new television right a wa y. T his inform a tion include s basic instructions on
operating your rem ote control, m aking a sim ple ca ble /a nte nna a nd optiona l V C R conne ction a nd,
finally, inform ation on program m ing your te le vision's Auto Tune r.

Step One - The Remote Control
T he rem ote control is the key to ope rating your te le vision's m a ny gre a t fe a ture s. Be fore you ca n
operate your rem ote control, you first ne e d to insta ll the ba tte rie s (include d).
S lide the cover on the back of the rem ote down towa rds the bottom of the re m ote control. Inse rt two
ba tteries (included) carefully noting the "+ " and "– " m a rkings, pla cing the "– " e nd in the unit first.
S lide the cover back into place.

Power Button

T he four key feature buttons at the cente r of the re m ote ca n be use d for ba sic ope ra tion of the
te levision. T he top and bottom buttons will sca n forwa rd a nd ba ck through the a va ila ble cha nne ls.
T he right and left buttons will turn the volum e up or down. T he se buttons a re a lso m a rke d with four
a rrows and are also used with JV C 's onscre e n m e nu syste m . You will ne e d to use the se buttons
la ter in the Q uick S etup.
