BATTERIES
The Scout Series requires three (3) AA batteries.
Acceptable battery types: Alkaline (recommended) or
Rechargeable (1.5V–1.7V)
Mixing of new and used, or different brand batteries
is not recommended as this could lead to leakage or
explosion.
BATTERY INSTALLATION & REPLACEMENT

Remove the light from the Comfort Clip (reference
"Removing light from Comfort Clip" in opposite column).

On the Battery Holder, turn the Locking Mechanism
to the "Open" position (use the top tab of the Comfort
Clip, a coin, or a large flat screwdriver).

Pull the Battery Holder away from the Light Body .
In order to overcome the seal you may need to
use a flat screwdriver to help separate the Battery
Holder from the Light Body , as the seal is can be
rather tight during first use.
3.
Install batteries inside the Battery Holder following
polarity markings.
NOTE: Remove the plastic from inside the Battery Holder
before first use.
Test the Scout's performance by activating the Power/
Mode Switch, located on the upper portion of the front
face of the Light Body (just below the LEDs).

Then, reinsert the Battery Holder into the Light Body .
Turn the Locking Mechanism back to the "Close"
position.
NOTE: Inspect the "O"-Ring (located near the base of the

OPERATIONAL MODES
FOR P/N 300 - 010 & 300 - 310:
ALL LEDs: 2 clicks, all 10 LEDs ON
LOW mode: 1 click, outer 2 LEDs ON
FOR P/N 300- 004 & 300 -304:
ALL LEDs: 4 clicks, all 10 LEDs ON
FLASHING mode: 3 clicks, alternating white &
red LEDs

WHITE LEDs ONL Y : 2 clicks, top 6 white LEDs ON
RED LEDs ONL Y : 1 click, bottom 4 red LEDs ON
FOR P/N 300-111, -112, -113, -114 & 300-118:
ON/OFF mode: 1 click, all LEDs ON
NOTE: Once all LEDs are ON, power the Scout OFF by
clicking the Power/Mode Switch once. Then repeat steps
for desired mode.
REMOVING LIGHT FROM COMFORT CLIP
1.
DO NOT pull upward on the light when attempting
to remove it from the Comfort Clip. Instead, pull
forward, disengaging the unit from the side clips that
encompass it. Then, pull light out completely .
2.
To return the light to the Comfort Clip, place the
bottom of the light within the bottom of the Clip and
push inward until the light snaps in place.
