LEAVE THE TECH TO US LIVE 24/7 CHAPTER 2: OVERVIEW TECHNICAL SUPPORT 1.877.877.2269 2.4 HARDWARE DESCRIPTION 2.4.1 1000BASE-T PORTS The RJ-45 ports on the switch support automatic MDI/MDI-X operation, auto-negotiation, and IEEE 802.3x auto-negotiation of flow control; it selects the optimum data rate and transmission automatically. 2.4.2 SFP TRANSCEIVER SLOTS The Gigabit Managed Ethernet Switch supports Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver slots.

    3.2 APPLICATION EXAMPLES The Gigabit Managed Ethernet Switch has 8, 24, or 48 Gigabit Ethernet TP ports with auto MDI-X. The LGB1110A and LGB1126A-R2 each have (2) dual-media ports, each consisting of (1) RJ-45 (100/1000 Mbps) and (1) SFP slot for a removable SFP module. The LGB1152A has (4) SFP (100/1000) slots.

For 1000BASE-T connections, the twisted-pair cable must have four pairs of wires. Each wire pair is identified by two different colors.
