Hard Disk Drive Status LEDs

The Symantec S-series feature hard disk drive LEDs which indicate appliance HDD status. The HDD LED status is listed
below.
The drive bay identification numbers are located on the front top cover of the appliance.
HDD Status LED Color
Green
Green: flashing
Red: blinking (SAS HDD only)
Red: (SAS HDD only)
Off
Spare drives in RAID-based platforms will automatically be rebuilt as a replacement when a drive fails.
Status
Disk is populated / normal operation.
I/O activity.
Non-RAID Disk is offline.
l
RAID Disk is rebuilding. Disk LED returns to green when the rebuild
l
is complete.
Disk fault / failure.
Disk not populated.
