TouchPad button board cable (included in Cable Kit)
Before removing the TouchPad button board, follow these steps:
1. Shut down the computer.
2. Disconnect all external devices connected to the computer.
3. Disconnect the power from the computer by first unplugging the power cord from the AC outlet and then
unplugging the AC adapter from the computer.
4. Remove the following components:
a. Bottom cover (see
b. Battery (see
c. Hard drive (see
d. Solid-state drive (see
e. WWAN module (see
f. Keyboard (see
g. Internal frame (see
Remove the TouchPad button board:
1. Disconnect the system board cable from the ZIF connector on the TouchPad (1).
2. Disconnect the TouchPad button board cable from the ZIF connector on the TouchPad (2).
