Place t he scanner close enough t o t he com put er for t he USB cable t o reach it easily. Do not place or st ore
t he scanner or t he AC adapt er out doors, near excessive dirt or dust , wat er, heat sources, or in locat ions
subj ect t o shocks, vibrat ions, high t em perat ure or hum idit y, direct sunlight , st rong light sources, or rapid
changes in t em perat ure or hum idit y. Do not use wit h wet hands.
Place t he scanner and t he AC adapt er near an elect rical out let where t he adapt er can be easily unplugged.

Be sure t he AC power cord m eet s t he relevant local safet y st andards.
The AC power cord should be placed t o avoid abrasions, cut s, fraying, crim ping, and kinking. Do not place
obj ect s on t op of t he AC power cord and do not allow t he AC adapt er or t he power cord t o be st epped on or
run over. Be part icularly careful t o keep t he AC power cords st raight at t he end and t he point where it ent ers
t he AC adapt er.
Use only t he AC adapt er t hat com es wit h your scanner. Using any ot her adapt er could cause fire, elect rical
shock, or inj ury.
The AC adapt er is designed for use wit h t he scanner wit h which it was included. Do not at t em pt t o use it wit h
ot her elect ronic devices unless specified.
Use only t he t ype of power source indicat ed on t he AC adapt er's label, and always supply power direct ly from
a st andard dom est ic elect rical out let wit h t he AC adapt er t hat m eet s t he relevant local safet y st andards.
When connect ing t his product t o a com put er or ot her device wit h a cable, ensure t he correct orient at ion of
t he connect ors. Each connect or has only one correct orient at ion. I nsert ing a connect or in t he wrong
