Placing Thick or Large Documents

I m por t a n t :
Do not place heavy obj ect s on t he scanner glass and do not press t he glass wit h t oo m uch force.
I f t he size of a docum ent exceeds t he size of t he docum ent cover, you can rem ove t he cover t o m ake it easier t o align
t he docum ent . Follow t hese st eps t o scan a large or t hick docum ent on t he scanner glass:
Open t he docum ent cover, and t hen lift it st raight up t o rem ove it .

Always m ake sure t o open t he docum ent cover before rem oving it .
Do not force t he cover off t he scanner or lift t he cover from in front of t he cover hinge; ot herwise,
t he cover m ay becom e dam aged.
Place a large or t hick docum ent facedown on t he docum ent glass and replace t he cover. Make sure t he t op corner
of t he docum ent is aligned wit h t he m ark.
