Going into PAUSE Mode
If during the ride, you stop pedaling, and/or get off the bike, the following will happen:
The console will enter PAUSE mode after 10 seconds.
The numbers on the screen will flash.
The timers will continue timing—including the Total and Stage timers—for 5 minutes. Schwinn added this
functionality to allow instructors to get off the bike and coach off the bike while trusting their timers will remain
in sync with all the riders in the room. It also allows a rider to stop for a brief point of time and begin riding
again without losing sync with the class. GOOD NEWS: While your timers continue timing, your average power
calculation will pause while you are not pedaling so that you will not get penalized for brief moments of not
pedaling.
To exit PAUSE mode and return to RIDE mode, just begin pedaling before 5 minutes have elapsed.
