Adjustments

The machine that you have bought allows for certain adjustments that will
permit you to use it to its full potential.

Adjusting the Coff ee Grinder

Warning! The grind adjustment lever must only be turned when the coff ee
grinder is working. Do not pour ground and/or instant coff ee into the cof-
fee bean hopper.
Do not insert any material other than coff ee beans into the hopper. The
grinder contains moving parts that may be dangerous. Therefore, do not
insert fi ngers and/or other objects. Turn off the machine by pressing the
ON/OFF button and remove the plug from the socket before carrying out
any type of operation inside the coff ee bean hopper.
The machine allows you to make slight adjustments to the coff ee grinder
to adapt it to the kind of coff ee used.
To make any adjustment, use the lever located on the side of the machine.
Turn the lever one notch at a time and brew 2-3 cups of coff ee; this is the
only way to notice diff erences in grind.
The reference marks indicate the grind setting. You can set diff erent de-
grees of grind with the following references:
1 - Fine Grind
2
2 - Coarse Grind

Adjusting the "Aroma" - Amount of Ground Coff ee

The machine allows you to program the amount of coff ee to be ground for
preparing each cup of coff ee.
Warning! The Aroma adjustment lever must only be turned when the
coff ee grinder is stopped. Adjustment must be performed before brewing
coff ee.
To make any adjustment, use the lever located on the side of the machine.
The reference marks indicate the amount of ground coff ee which has been
set. You can set diff erent amounts with the following references:
3 - Minimum coff ee amount (about 7 grams)
4 - Maximum coff ee amount (about 11 grams)
