Precautions
On BLUETOOTH communication
ˎ BluETOOTH wireless technology operates within a range of about 10 meters
(30 feet). Maximum communication range may vary depending on obstacles (human
body, metal, wall, etc.) or electromagnetic environment.
ˎ The antenna is built into the unit as illustrated in the dotted line. The sensitivity of the
BluETOOTH communication will improve by turning the direction of the built-in
antenna to the connected BluETOOTH device. The communication distance shortens
when the obstacles are between the antenna of the connected device and this unit.

ˎ The following conditions may affect the sensitivity of BluETOOTH communication.
ē There is an obstacle such as a human body, metal, or wall between this unit and
BluETOOTH device.
ē A device using 2.4 GHz frequency, such as a wireless lAN device, cordless
telephone, or microwave oven, is in use near this unit.
ˎ Because BluETOOTH devices and wireless lAN (IEEE802.11b/g) use the same
frequency, microwave interference may occur and resulting in communication speed
deterioration, noise, or invalid connection if this unit is used near a wireless lAN
device. In such a case, perform the following.
ē use this unit at least 10 m (30 ft) away from the wireless lAN device.

ē If this unit is used within 10 m (30 ft) of a wireless lAN device, turn off the wireless
lAN device.
ē Install this unit and BluETOOTH device as near to each other as possible.

ˎ Microwaves emitting from a BluETOOTH device may affect the operation of
electronic medical devices. Turn off this unit and other BluETOOTH devices in the

following locations, as it may cause an accident:
ē where inflammable gas is present, in a hospital, train, airplane, or a petrol station
ē near automatic doors or a fire alarm
ˎ This unit supports security capabilities that comply with the BluETOOTH standard to
provide a secure connection when the BluETOOTH wireless technology is used, but
security may not be enough depending on the setting. Be careful when
communicating using BluETOOTH wireless technology.
ˎ We do not take any responsibility for the leakage of information during BluETOOTH
communication.
ˎ Connection with all BluETOOTH devices cannot be guaranteed.
ē A device featuring BluETOOTH function is required to conform to the BluETOOTH
standard specified by Bluetooth SIG, Inc. and be authenticated.
ē Even if the connected device conforms to the above mentioned BluETOOTH
standard, some devices may not be connected or work correctly, depending on the
features or specifications of the device.
ē While talking on the phone hands free, noise may occur, depending on the device
or communication environment.
ˎ Depending on the device to be connected, it may require some time to start
communication.
On charging the unit
ˎ This unit can be charged using uSB only. Personal computer with uSB port, or uSB
Charging AC Power Adaptor AC-uD11 (sold separately) is required for charging.
ˎ The unit does not work during charging.
On the splash-proof feature
ˎ The unit has the splash-proof feature and is protected against water splashing from
any direction. However, because the unit cannot be used in water, note the following
cautions.
ē Make sure that the uSB jack cover is closed when you use the unit.
ē Do not use the unit in a humid place such as a bathroom or sauna.
ē In case the unit gets wet, wipe it with a dry cloth and leave the unit until it gets dry
before using.
If you cannot operate the unit
ˎ Set the unit in charging status, then press the
simultaneously. The unit will be reset. Pairing information is not deleted.

ˎ If you are still unable to operate the unit even after the resetting operation above,
initialize the unit as follows.
Turn off the unit by pressing the
hold the POWER button down for more than 15 seconds. The indicator (blue)
flashes 4 times, and the unit is reset to the factory settings. All pairing information is
deleted.
Others
ˎ Do not place this unit in a place exposed to humidity, dust, soot or steam, subject to
direct sunlight, or in a car waiting at a traffic signal. It may cause a malfunction.
ˎ using the BluETOOTH device may not function on mobile phones, depending on
radio wave conditions and location where the equipment is being used.
ˎ If you experience discomfort after using the BluETOOTH device, stop using the
BluETOOTH device immediately. Should any problem persist, consult your nearest
Sony dealer.
ˎ listening with this unit at high volume may affect your hearing. For traffic safety, do
not use this unit while driving or cycling.
ˎ Do not put weight or pressure on this unit as it may cause the unit to deform during
long storage.
ˎ Do not subject the unit to excessive shock.
ˎ Clean the unit with a soft dry cloth.
ˎ The earpads may deteriorate due to longterm storage or use.
ˎ If you have any questions or problems concerning this unit that are not covered in
this manual, please consult your nearest Sony dealer.

Communication BLUETOOTH
ˎ la technologie BluETOOTH sans fil fonctionne dans un rayon d'environ 10 mètres (30
pieds). la portée de communication maximale peut varier en fonction des obstacles
(personnes, éléments métalliques, mur, etc.) ou de l'environnement
électromagnétique.
ˎ l'illustration ci-dessous indique l'emplacement sur l'appareil de l'antenne intégrée.
la sensibilité de la communication BluETOOTH pourra être améliorée en modifiant
l'orientation de l'antenne intégrée du périphérique BluETOOTH. la distance de
communication est réduite en cas d'obstacles présents entre l'antenne de l'appareil
connecté et cet appareil.

À propos de la résistance aux éclaboussures

en suivant cette procédure.
Mettez l'appareil hors tension en appuyant sur le bouton
de 2 secondes. Ensuite, appuyez sur le bouton POWER et maintenez-le enfoncé
plus de 15 secondes. le témoin (bleu) clignote 4 fois et l'appareil est réinitialisé à ses
paramètres d'usine. Toutes les informations de pairage sont supprimées.
Autres
ˎ Ne placez pas cet appareil dans un endroit exposé à l'humidité, la poussière, la suie
ou la vapeur, aux rayons directs du soleil ou dans un véhicule attendant que le feu
passe au vert. Cela pourrait entraîner un dysfonctionnement.
ˎ le périphérique BluETOOTH peut ne pas fonctionner avec des téléphones portables,
en raison des ondes radio et de l'endroit où cet équipement est utilisé.
ˎ Si vous éprouvez une gêne après avoir utilisé ce périphérique BluETOOTH, cessez de
